Essential Functions
Work schedule is 28 days on and 14 days off– Paid travel to and from the vessel
Crew Safety, vessel safety and environmental protection (Master has ultimate responsibility).
Pre-voyage inspections and voyage planning
Implement safe operation and navigation of the vessel on its planned voyage
Relieving the Captain in the safe operation and navigation of vessel. Neither operator should be operating the vessel for more than 12 hours in any 24-hour period.
Ensuring the ability for up-to-date and correct charting
Maintain a radio communication log reflecting all vessel-to-vessel communications, waypoints, and job start, stop, and standby times
Loading of vessel food stores
Assisting the Master Captain in any of his/her other responsibilities as needed or requested
Schedule
12-hour shift Day shift Night shift 28 days on / 14 days off
